The 2026 Toyota National Championships were swum July 28 to August 1 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, California. Anna Moesch won the 100 free in 51.88, an American record, and the 200 free. Caeleb Dressel won the 50 and 100 free, Isabelle Stadden swept the three backstrokes, and 17-year-old Luka Mijatovic won the 400 free. The meet also picked the U.S. team for the Junior Pan Pacs, through its 18 & Under finals.
U.S. Nationals is the meet where the country's best senior swimmers and its fastest teenagers race in the same pool. In 2026 it came two weeks before the Pan Pacific Championships, also in Irvine, and it did double duty as the selection meet for the Junior Pan Pacs team.

How the meet works
- Dates: July 28 to August 1, 2026
- Venue: William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, Irvine, California, long course (50 m), per the USA Swimming meet timeline
- Finals: each event had three finals at night: the Open Championship final (places 1 to 8, the national title), a Bonus final (9 to 16) and an 18 & Under Championship final (17 to 24) for the fastest juniors not in the other two.
- Distance events: the 800 and 1500 free were timed finals, with the fastest heat swum at night.
- What was at stake: the 18 & Under finals set the order of selection for the Junior Pan Pacs team.

The record: Anna Moesch, 51.88
Moesch's 51.88 in the 100 free lowered her own American record of 51.93, set in May in London, and her U.S. Open record of 52.11, according to Virginia Athletics. She came back later in the meet to win the 200 free (1:55.05) and was second to Gretchen Walsh in the 50 free (24.05).
The Hy-Tek results book does not flag records, so this is the only one we list. Records are ratified separately by USA Swimming.

Some of the best juniors made the open final instead in some events, so they do not appear in those rows: Rylee Erisman, 17, won silver in the open 100 and 200 free and bronze in the 200 back, and Gabi Brito, 16, took bronze in the open 50 fly (26.08).

- Luka Mijatovic (17, Pleasanton Seahawks): national champion in the 400 free (3:43.45), bronze in the 800 (7:46.57) and 1500 (15:08.12).
- Rylee Erisman (17, Laker Swim): silver in the 100 free (52.92) and 200 free (1:55.86), bronze in the 200 back (2:07.55).
- Sydney Schoeck (18, CSP Tideriders): bronze in the 800 free (8:32.44) and 400 IM (4:38.68).
